The Yamaha Aerox Moped have to have a passenger? Is it because the seat leagal seems very small for two people I think it is for?
1. If there is a handle-shaped or strap on the seat or behind the seat as a rigid handle and it is convenient footrest and a board for passengers' feet, then it is approved in principle . If these things are not there, it is illegal to carry a passenger on two wheels
2. Indeed, the poor little Reserved 49cc engine and the suspension is small, not practical for transporting passengers. Can find hills that will not go with a passenger.
Yes, they are crazy for two people.
In Ibiza, I rented the mopeds Aerox all the time and they Hande two persons of the same around the city. maximum speed of about 25 mph on a 55 mph and 50ccm on a 100
I could be wrong but I do not think this is legal if you ride a 50cc on a provisional basis ... but we do anyway;)
I wonder which country you are, but I'll take the United Kingdom.
Provided you're not 'L' plates and there rests, it is legal. Having hand is more of an "extra enhancement" and in no way a legal obligation. Footstools are a legal requirement and stated that rider and passenger must have both feet on a footrest location board / secure. Of course, it does not mention that you face on the front :-)
So if you are 16/17 with only a CBT under your belt, you are breaking the law. In the case of an accident, an injured or crippled passenger / passengers are not covered by insurance - is not funny.
Legal side, the first for a passenger is really the saddle. Remember to adjust the air pressure in tires and, if necessary, adjust the headlights to avoid blinding the oncoming traffic. Course, is that people of a moped and is not exactly blind.
Keep the rubber side down (especially in this snow we have!).
You can legally take a passenger on a Yamaha Aerox as long as you hold a full license moped or motorcycle (ie you are not on the plates L).
