I need to build a motorcycle trailer in my class? OK in my class, we have to build a motorcycle trailer aluminum to hold two bikes, he says he should be able to trainsporting two full size modern deressers Harley .... I have no idea what I do and I need to answer many questions about it but my teachers away for a while.
1.What type of raw materials used to construct similar trailers? And where and how materials are used?
2.List and describe five common components / parts that should be on every bike trailer
3. List two styles of the axle that could be used for our trailer. What type of axle should we use and why? Sketches can help.
4. How the existing trailer manufacturers account for loading and unloading of bikes?
5. How much space in feet and inches will be needed to carry bikes? How did you get those facts?
6.What fires we required by law or industry standard, having a motorcycle (I live in New York there are various laws by the State) There are certain types of lights for certain applications . What kind of lights do we need to use and should they be located in a certain position / location on the trailer? If yes specify these locations.
7. We will need to buy some standard components found on many trailers. give me a list of three companies, local or online, that sell components of the trailer. Describe their location, type of product lines they sell, and contact information.

1. Steel, but why ask ur going to use aluminum ... right!.
You can buy full online plans. Are you really building or simply writing an article on its construction? Most home built trailers are steel instead of aluminum.
Sounds like to me, you want us to do your homework for you. Were you not paying attention in class? What I do not understand is why you're aluminum construction, aluminum is very difficult to weld properly by hand.
Go to a site of U-Haul rental and talk to the guys. Better yet, find a local welding shop / or local sales trailer dealers and ask them the same questions. You must do yourself, for your own information .... not us!
