San Felipe is a town in the Mexican state of Baja California, located on the Gulf of California, about 118 miles south of the border between Mexico to the United States.

Because the Colorado River delta, San Felipe is the world's largest tidal bores. The average temperature in this city is about 73 degrees F. Being located in a unique ecosystem, where the sea and the desert meet, the town of San Felipe may experience extreme temperatures, from about 105 degrees F in the shade in July and August, about 40 degrees F at night during the months of December and January.

The port of San Felipe fishing depends to a great extent, what is its economic base. The population is around 15,000 inhabitants, but may increase with a few thousand, because the number of part-time residents, both owners of vacation or retirement. The same temporary increase in the population must be considered in the popular weekends such as Memorial Day or Spring Break.

San Felipe is a popular holiday destination, especially for people in California, Arizona and other states in the southwest United States, and for those in the Pacific. This city is also the place for people of northern Mexico. All these tourists are mostly attracted by the activities in the area of San Felipe. These include riding dirt bikes and ATVs in the desert, which begins where the beaches of San Felipe end. Other popular activities in San Felipe including tennis matches, volleyball, fishing, and, of course, the off-road racing events such as San Felipe 250 and Baja 250

Tourists are also attracted by the sulfur springs in geothermal Puertecita who serve in the Sea of Cortez, where the warm waters of the pool is somewhat cooled by fresh sea water. Another popular activity, which is also relatively new is Carnival.

San Felipe is part of the state of Baja California, whose name is the Spanish version of "Baja California. This state of the tree about million people, nearly 75% live in capital is Mexicali, or in another populous city, Tijuana. Other major cities include San Felipe in Baja, Ensenada and Tecate.

Most northern states of Mexico are fully European, or white, but this is not the case with Baja, whose population includes many mestizos and some sizeable minority groups, such as the Middle East, ' African, Asian or Aboriginal.

The economy of Baja California imports, exports, fisheries and industries, including the tourism industry is most developed and profitable.

Any Baja California, but especially the city of San Felipe is a growing sector, and real estate activity in the region has experienced a phenomenal growth in recent years. Vacation homes are especially popular near the main beach of San Felipe, but also in coastal areas just below San Felipe.

One advantage of owning a vacation home in San Felipe or anywhere else in Baja California, other than the beautiful beaches, traditions and people, is the proximity of the United States, making this location is ideal for a getaway home!
