Canadian Business Directory

I think I asked this before, I bought several different magazines. and books on local publishers and take steps to get a book published .. butmost of companies I've called are out of business, or not practical for my current location or situation. Is there a list online?? or directory that I can order from the yellow pages or something to get a list so far????

Is there a particular reason why you only want a Canadian publisher? If I remember, most Canadian publishers are small presses, and the majority of publishing in North America is the United States.

Is there a reason why location is important? Just because the publisher is close enough to go to does not mean much. With the postal service, email, phones and faxes, you do not live within driving distance, even for a Canadian publisher.

I know you can not be a fan of science fiction, but watching Robert Sawyer (Canadian writer). Its website has lots of information on this subject, including orders for the industry in Canada.
