How to check the ink level for canon laser printer? Hello everyone!
Is it possible that I could check the ink level of my Canon LBP2900 laser printer (B & W), without taking the ink catridge?
Thank you
uses the laser toner. you'll need to go to "Toner Save Mode", turn them on. When the ink runs low, the machine will ask you to empty pages 100-150.
Laser printers use toner, not ink. The information page you can print from the printer settings and tell you that the toner.
Uh, laser printers do not use ink. They use toner (yeah, yeah semantics).
There is no foolproof way if the printer does not have a control system toner. Easiest is to compare the weight of being full and empty. You certainly do not want to open a toner cartridge, unless you're with Al Jolson in a revival!
In addition, empty toner cartridges can be exchanged against new ones at a slightly reduced price - do not throw them away!
Start> Control Panel Printers> Printers and Faxes.
Select the printer and right click.
Go to Properties>
(It may be called Maintence)
Ususally there is a verification system, or nozzle check .. check the ink or .... option.
I think that gives each Canon printer ink status when given the command to print. If it is not in your case, you can watch the ink settings and take a look at it. If you want to buy new cartridges for your printer, then visit http://www.Ask4ink.com
Its one stop shoppe for all types of needs ink sale Compatible Ink Cartridges prices cheaper than you can not even imagine.
You must be from Europe. I have not seen this printer in North America, but you can not say, even if you only look at the cartridge. With some cartridges cannon is a small 1cm x 1cm or so clear plastic window on the bottom of the cartridge. If you see this window, the cartridge is able to tell when the toner is low, but everything depends on whether or not the printer has this capability. I think in this case. but I could be wrong.
