I have a Briggs & Stratton 5HP go cart engine, it will only work to win, I pour gas into the carburetor and it will only operate for one second can you tell me what is wrong with him

carburetor does not receive gas in it. it must be cleaned or rebuilt.

Fuel bowl is probably full of sediment and plugged the inlet passage in the carburetor fuel .... remove the fuel bowl and drain any sediment / grit or dirt and take a small swab to clean the fuel passages in the carburetor. Make sure the small pinhole in the top of the gas cap is open so ... if it is connected, the fuel tank will not siphon fuel into the bowl of carbs. Change the fuel filter, if it exists.
