Suggestions for a winter trip? Suggestions for a winter trip?
Last year we went to Jackson Hole and I loved it. We intend only to return, but also want to explore a new place. We plan to Whistler in Canada. We're not really into skiing, but more in the winter other stuff, such as snowmobiling, nature walks, hiking in snowshoes, etc.. We live in Texas, and strictly must travel American Airlines (discount). While accessibility is a plus. We prefer condo rather than standard hotel ... Suggestions??? Pleeease! Thank you!
Banff or Jasper is great. Jasper has the Columbia Icefields, and Banff Upper Hot Springs. Among many other things of course. Banff is approx. one hour from Calgary, where you can do the town if you wish. This is one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world, and there are several different types of accommodation styles available. Do a little research online, and you could be in for a surprise. Oh, and Calgary has an international airport, and I'm pretty sure they fly AA in there.
Telluride, Colorado, Denver ... fly in ... the reader to apply visit ...

If your primary concern is not skiing, but other outdoor winter activities I would say is Mont Tremblant in Quebec for a good time all around. In Northern Ontario snow mobile trails impressive as does Northern Michigan, the Traverse City facility if you go there.
Or visit the Lake Louise is breathtaking! It is also close to Banff and Jasper.
