400 luxury buses to Jaipur In the coming years, Jaipur transport system will have a complete overhaul. This will change the transport scenario of the city forever.
Recently, Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) has developed a work order for the purchase of 400 buses including 20 luxury air conditioned low floor and Low-Floor Buses semi Ashok Leyland. To buy such a large number of luxury buses, RSRTC would go to spend a big amount of Rs 120 crore.
RSRTC buy these luxury buses under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) and purchase of buses will allow the city of Jaipur Transport Services Ltd (JCTSL) to strengthen their services more.
In February, the central government of India has approved the proposed purchase of 400 luxury buses. The center has even sanctioned the proposal to buy 35 more buses to Ajmer and Pushkar city of Rajasthan.
These buses would solve the transportation and traffic problems of the city. They would be used for the Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) and operates in the city of Jaipur and neighboring regions. Even the State Government is pleased to create a new plan for improving the transport system in the state. Apart from regular fitness tests that are conducted on the minibus, the state government is trying to find more options to improve the transport system.
The Government is considering a proposal to grant a concession for senior citizens of the state. Even in the state budget amendment for 2009-2010, RS 25 crore has been sanctioned specifically for concessional travel on buses RSRTC. The amount would be given to RSRTC to pay for concessions.
Also facilitate more passengers, RSRTC decided to build complex Sulubh the bus 10 is the state and decided to allow free travel by women on special occasions like Rakshan Bandhan day.
