Mofa JapanVisa exemption agreements between Vietnam and foreign countries list

Visa exemption:

Vietnamese people who hold foreign passports and foreigners who are their husbands, wives and children are exempt from visa to enter Vietnam and are allowed to stay for longer than 90 days. To be granted visa exemption certificates at Vietnamese representative offices abroad, overseas Vietnamese need conditions:

  • An alien granted permanent residence certificate (PRC) of the validity of at least six months from the date of entry.
  • Visa exemption paper (EPI) is granted by Vietnamese appropriate authorities.

Those who expect to stay longer than 90 days must apply for a visa in accordance with current prior to entry.

  • Citizens of Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Laos ordinary passports are exempted from visa and are allowed to stay for more than 30 days; Philippines are allowed to stay for up to 21 days.
  • Citizens of China, Bulgaria, Kyrgyzstan, North Korea, Romania and ordinary passports for official mission and the citizens of 52 countries holding valid diplomatic or service passports are exempt from visa requirements. unilateral visa exemption

  • Visa valid for 30 days is provided to officials of the ASEAN Secretariat with different types of passports.
  • Citizens of Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Japan and South Korea, with different types of passports are exempt from visa and are allowed to stay for up to 15 days.
