Why my new bike front brake pads squeak? I just replaced my front brake pads on my GSXR and grinding buffers. The rotor is also looking to have blue or brown marks on them. What should I do to stop the squeaking?
Are you sure that you have them replaced by blocks compatible with the discs (rotors)? I feel blue or brown marks are caused by the heat created by an unconformity, although it may be a form of contamination. ground of brake dust generated during braking off collection on the disk and can cause squeaks, giving the whole area a good cleaning with a clutch and brake cleaner. It used to be the case that the brake pads have been installed with a little fat copper generous rear (piston side) of the plate, but I think it is most needed, I not need to do for many years, copper grease was to reduce squeaking.
blocks are frozen?
If you have access to a machine shop you might want them to get land off the glass. might need your rotors resurfaced, too
This could help
could be the pads need anti squeal lubricant. The new pads are sometimes quieter for a while until they break in. Ride few hundred miles first and if it does not disappear your rotors checked
