Motorcycle Racing? I wondered. You have these bikers. They look sharp turns - the bike is like 35 degrees on the ground and their knees are almost touching. Crazy.
Is it okay for your knees to at least skim the road, accidentally, or if they come into contact will they fly? Because in other touching the ground to a halt, the part of your body will be fixed momentarily. So I think they crash. But how were they to touch the ground?
Yes man, it's like the track that the road is normally covered in potholes, diesel, and the elderly.
Here: http://www.someoneelseslife.com/images/6 ... is a pic of a guy get his knee on the road. Like the track.
you can clearly see his red knee Slider. These come in every color, shape and design under the sun!

balance and technical
you talk gp and / or road race.
Their knees touch the ground, and they wear special slider pads on their skins for it.
This technique is used by road racers, you said that you have reached the maximum angle of lean. Oh dear, I forgot to mention that I ran for many years, this is just a little dig for the thumbs down.
It seems that many people run for - I have not made (mine), but can not wait for the right bike, time and place to give it a go.
If you can find online coverage (or repeats on TV) Look at some of laps completed by John Hopkins Rizla Suzuki on the motorcycle race at the German gp yesterday.

This takes you to the official homepage (for stills), but they show you tricks with cameras aboard the bike and a chart that shows the angle - Hopkins was struck 50-55 degrees at all times that the Sachsenring track is a bit twisty!
