Using larger tires and wheels, but the struts are under way. (Off road car) Any ideas? I am planning on converting 91 Dodge Colt car in a sort of semi off-road sand in the desert around my area. The original wheels have been 13 years since I replaced with 15s. The next step would be more road tires for the 15 new x 8 rims. Like a fool I've never really thought about the spacers being in the way (defense is not a problem since I am removing them). Currently with low profile tires and the street on the rims, I have about an inch of space between the leg and the tire and mounting larger tires on will not be possible. Have you any advice? Would it be possible to trade for more legs strut a different model car? A conversion to a different type of suspension? (The struts on it are probably used to contain too lost anyway.)
Details on the vehicle (Dodge Colt, 1.5 liter, FWD, 4 speed manual tranny.)
I would look in the spare coil-overs, like Tein's. With spare parts coil-overs, you get a close spring drawer. We hope you can find someone who makes a set-up for your application.
You can also check with controls (coil-over set up using existing strut, but narrower modification of the unit.)
A spacer center moves over the wheel or a kit for lifting the vehicle can provide more clearance.

You can get more spacers but again you still may be a problem ... worth a try
Are you crazy? A Colt wingless and 15 "rims Best? Get a spacer for the hub and not try to mount other bars. I still think your nuts!
Sit in different wheels. Other types of wheels may have a different offset. Meaning of the portion of the wheel bolts that the car can be in a different area to allow the wheel stick away from the leg more.
