Why be rebuilt Tranny jerks and making strange noises? Two and a half months that I paid $ 2800 for a rebuilt tranny. Every since when I put it in reverse it makes a loud bang (reflex) and yesterday, the bang (reflex) also happens when changing speed. I also heard a rattling noise.
Any advice you can sharew with me will be greatly appreciated.
The transmission is bad or torque converter is bad. They probably did not flush the entire system clean before putting in the transmission of news, I suppose.
Take your car back to where you had it repaired. Tell them that the problems and the technical manager or ride with you to show them what he does. It should be under warranty for defects. This should be your first step.
