Sand Rail Wheels

Im building a rear wheel drive single seat sand rail and I need some ideas .... engine I thought down on a transverse engine and deck .... but I need a simple engine that does not require a computer or complicated wiring ..... I prefer a simple engne carbureted with spark mechanical system with about 100 horsepower and a manual tansmission ..... this type of engine can I find with these features ??????.....

You may have to do with an old engine .... If you can find an old Toyota engine 22-R, I know they are virtually indestructible ... You may have to Tweek a bit to get the HP you want, but I do not think you'd have to do much .. Hope this helps ...
