Snowmobile Slides

I've bought a new belt for my Yamaha snowmobile APEX and I can not install it. Ive tried slipping the clutch lever back until it reaches the end (it back), and put it on the top and bottom first, but it will not continue. Is there a trick to this? Thank you

Usually you can just put the brake on one side and turn the pulley to open it. Some machines will open more easily than others depending on the strength of the spring and of course easy or not to take the pulley. Ski-Doo smowmobiles a screw bit - in the device in the toolbox. Just screw it into a special hole near the center pulley and pulley for easy opening, even a small child could do it.
