When buying a used snowmobile? I am thinking of buying a used snowmobile before the start of the winter, but I do not know what to look for when it comes to pieces. My friend sold his 1991 Arctic Cat Form, but I have not had any luck with buying used items. What I'm looking for a used snowmobile, a rational part, to ensure that it is buying?
1. Make sure it works! Note that since it probably has not started within a certain time, it may take several trys.
2. Make sure the throttle did not stick, and make sure the breaks work fine.
3. Check the condition of belt (under the hood, the belt is obviously the big ol 'belt). If it is worn, it is typical, but it will cost you a little bit to get a new one.
3. Check if it was run or crushed, because it means he probably has problems.
4. SI luge is a reservoir of gas not plastic, check for rust, sediment, etc
5. Check the track. This is very expensive to replace. If it is torn in any way, do not take the sled unless you want flat on the dough.
