im .... positive step acid wash ... we take ours to the very place that washes the 18 big wheels .... they do a great job and I think they speak acid wash ... What does that mean never .... sounds like it would eat all but the gums, but I know ... my bf usually takes ..... and also the green stuff ... mean green or something in the sale section of the car .. The grease and grime ... I know im not much help ... cannot think of real names .... blonde moment ... .. I hope I helped ....
I have an old two-horse load sraight Steel (1970) and I just plug it into my truck and go to the carwash. Plain soap / scrub brush should not affect the trailer. The black stripes may be rusting (or oxidation). You may need to take the Featherlite trailer in the garage and have them cleaned. This is only going to get worse with age though.
Mother of polished aluminum.
acid wash did a good job on aluminum. However a number of which the acid on the paint job. I had my aluminum trailer made a number of times and they look great and not to ruin any rubber or anything else, except for portions of the trailer painted ... which means ... if you have aluminum panels on a steel trailer .. not a good idea to use acid I also have a trailer with aluminum painted aluminum profiles ... I will acid wash is not it. Just plain truck washing is the best sollution. /
For your problems of aluminum, your local truck stop will have an acid "wash that cleans stains quickly .... we use on our aluminum boats, etc. works very well .. should have mentioned that truckers use this wash on their trailers and spare parts for their tractors .... If you also paint on your trailer, you must be very careful when using this .....
use detergent or sopa sugar (liquid), scrub it and use a power hose or preasure
